1. What is your music taste like?
I usually listen to pop, hip hop, punk and Korean indie songs, but my all time fav gotta be R&B :) I have been the biggest fan of The Weeknd and I think his new album is already the Album of the year. Nowadays, I’m very much invested into hyperpop and alternative pop, like the stuff Charli XCX makes.
2. What does this song mean to you?
My friend (the vocalist) and I (producer) wrote this song together after my friend broke up with his long time girlfriend. This song is about not being able to move on from past relationships and struggling, but ultimately a song about the bittersweet nature of love. I really put in my passion into this project and a part of me has been devoted into the song as I had gone through heartbreak before and I feel it on the personal level.
3. How long have you started producing? What got you into it?
I have been producing since 2017 but i felt that it has been a slow progress because of academics, work and pure procrastination. Nonetheless, it’s really fun making a beat and its almost like playing games after you get a hang of it. I started producing because I was watching youtube diss tracks (it was 2017) and I tried writing my own diss tracks but I could not find a beat that I like. So I downloaded a lousy music making software on my phone and that’s how it all started. I don’t write cringy diss tracks anymore btw.
4. Are there any other songs you have produced? Wanna give them a shoutout?
Shoutout Dover Road Boys, I produced “4 a hoe” and “+65kids” for the group. I have a bunch of other songs too but They’re pretty old so the mix was a lot more amateur. But I do plan to release more music under my friends or my own name, so stay tuned! My insta is @hee.t_, for future update on music or just my day-to-day.
