1. What kind of music do you listen to?
I listen to mainly pop, rock, mandopop and abit of rap (sorry for being basic). Some of my favourite artists are Lauv, Jeremy Zucker, John Mayer and LANY.
2. How did you discover this song?
I’m pretty sure most people would know this song from the famous TV show “Friends” and that was how I discovered it. “Friends” was one of my favourite shows to watch on Netflix and I managed to binge-watch it all right before A Levels. Its especially catchy opening song “I’ll be there for you” stood out to me as I find the lyrics really relatable.
3. What do you like most about this song?
I think that its very catchy, with its signature four claps. The lyrics are also not very complex and has a simple meaning. Despite its simplicity, it conveys a very powerful and important message of loyalty and friendships that I feel the world needs more of.
4. What does this song mean to you?
This song represents the friendships forged that will last forever. It talks about the many hardships that you face each day and no matter how tough life can be, there will always be someone there for you. To me, I think being loyal is one of the most important things in friendship, otherwise they wouldn't be friends in the first place. It reminds me of the numerous times my friends were there for me when I thought life "was always stuck in second gear". When life gets boring or aimless, having those friends around me definitely lifted my spirits. That's why whenever I listen to this song, I would be reminded of the good memories I have made with those who were there for me and forever be grateful to them!
